Clarenville Weather

  IN THE WINTER
Naturally blessed, Clarenville is the capital of snow and adventure on the East Coast of Newfoundland and Labrador. Winter is a special time of the year for residents of Clarenville. Once the snow flies, we get outside and play!

When the air's cool, the action's hot.
Our spectacular terrian and un-crowded
trails are the perfect playground for snow season adventure. Ski or drive a snowmobile. Go out for an hour, or make a week-long trek on the land with expert guides. We enjoy one of the
most fantastic trail systems for snowmobiling. For the winter vacationer
we are located on the Trans-Canada Snowmobile Trail along with hundreds of kilometers of groomed and marked riding trails. For more information on snowmobling trails visit www.eastcoastsnow.com

Located just 1km West of Clarenville is White Hills Ski Resort. Nestled across 55 acres of ski and board terrain in the majestic hills of the Discovery Region, White Hills Resort has the proud distiction of being called "Eastern Newfoundland's Winter Playground". Here you'll find a number of choice trails waiting for
you to explore on skis, snowboard, or snowshoes. White Hills offers a variety of downhill trails* and glades that reach to over 750 vertical feet. For more information on White Hills Ski Resort visit: www.discoverwhitehills.com

Around the wilderness of White Hill Ski Resort are over 40 Kilometers of the best groomed cross-country ski trails in Eastern Newfoundland known as the The Nordic Ski Trails. All cross country trails and loops are marked, interconnected, and groomed where possible. The Nordic Ski Trails features "Harry’s Loop" (3.5 km) around Dark Hole Pond (has lights for night skiing) as well as 5 km and 7.5 km loops for an extended journey. All trails are Color-Coded Blue.
Non-members must purchase a Nordic Ski day pass, while members of the Clarenville Nordic Ski Club can ski on all of the groomed trails free of charge. For more information, detailed mapping and trail descriptions visit www.clarenvillenordicskiclub.com
