June is Recreation Month
is an important campaign as it provides a great opportunity to
draw attention to the benefits and values of recreation to
individuals, families, neighborhoods and
communities.

Activities in Clarenville:
Sunday, June 7 - SPCA Walk for
Animals. Meet at Elizabeth Swan Park @ 4
p.m.. Please leash your pet and pick up after
him/her.
Monday, June 8 - Rotary
Trail Walk. This is a family walk of the 3km or
5km loops. Walk starts at 7 p.m. and refreshments will
be served immediately thereafter. (In the event of bad weather
the walk will take place on June 9).
Wednesday, June 10
- Balbo Elementary School will be holding a
Ball Hockey tournament. Time/location: Clarenville
Stadium 3:30-8 p.m.
Wednesday, June 10 -
CARA Awards Ceremony. These are the
annual sports awards - awards will be for Athlete of the Year,
Team of the Year, Sports Builder of the Year, and Volunteer of
the Year. EVERYONE is welcome.
Time/location: Heritage room in Clarenville Stadium @ 8
p.m.
Saturday, June 13 –
Relay for Life at Clarenville Middle School
gymnasium. Relay
starts at 5 p.m. and runs for 12 hours. – Come and support the
cause!
Sunday, June 14 – ALS
walk.
Meet at Easy Street Pub. Registration starts at
12:30 p.m. – walk starts at 2 p.m.
